How it Began


Development Communication Society


The Development Communication Society is the official and recognized student organization of the Benguet State University’s Development Communication students.

It is a non-profit and dependent organization. It shall be socio-cultural, civic and spiritual in nature and shall be academically competent especially in the field of Development Communication.

It shall faithfully abide with the rules and regulations of the school, the student council and other student organizations’ constitution and the government laws.

Likewise, the organization shall foster unity and promote communication skills among its members. It shall adhere the policy of peace, equality, justice and democracy.

Members of the society shall be called DCians.

The DCians shall be given a certificate of membership upon graduating and be automatically a member of the DCS Alumni provided he/she is a member of four (4) consecutive years.


Mission


The Development Communication Society enhances the skills and talents of its members as it actively involves them in any development concerns in the school as well as in the community.

TAYO (Ten Outstanding Youth Organizations)

  • DCS was awarded as one of the recipients of TAYO Awards for the years 2005 and 2012.

The society also received numerous awards from prestigious award giving bodies such as: Masteral Scholarship in Japan and North- South dialogue sponsored by the Illinois University and the American.
